BlackPink to Open Taeyang’s Concerts in Kobe

From August 5th to 6th, BLACKPINK will perform as the opening act to Taeyang’s 2017 World Tour at Hotto Motto Field Kobe baseball stadium in Kobe, Hyogo.

BLACKPINK held their Japanese debut showcase on July 20th at Nippon Budokan Arena and sold out 14k seats. The ticket applications to their showcase exceeded 200k, proving the hot interest from the Japanese public.

Additionally, BLACKPINK plans to appear in large Japanese events such as the music festival A-Nation, the major fashion events Tokyo Girls Collection and Kobe Collection, and more. The group will release their Japanese debut album on August 30th.

Today (August 1st), the music video for BLACKPINK’s song “As If It’s Your Last” surpassed 90 million views. It is anticipated if the group will reach 4 music videos with 100 million views by their first anniversary (August 8th).

In other news, Taeyang will hold ‘2017 World Tour WHITE NIGHT’ in conjunction with his first solo comeback in 3 years. On August 26-27, he will hold Seoul stops at Seoul Jamsil Gymnasium.
