G-Dragon's new Twitter/Instagram update:




This is a mural project by gd-supporters.com to promote G-Dragon's new album. The mural is located in Hongdae in Seoul. They are the same fans who got a hand-written letter from G-Dragon for the charity work they've done.

          I've always thought that Korean fans' (or Kpop fans) dedication to their idols are of a different level and I'm not really surprised with this. I don't condone it but it makes you wonder what goes into their minds when they think that they have to do this kind of stuff.

          I get that they want to help GD promote but when you think about it, aren't you a fan of a musician for his music? Then buy his CDs and go to his concerts, not do stuff like this. Like how much exactly of their time is dedicated to this person. If you look at it from an outsider's point of view, it's crazy.

            Simply, because that's themself happy, making GD happy will make themself happy. They also spend money to help the kids under name of "GD's fans". That's just like when you love someone, you just want to do great things for this person, sometimes you must spend money and time to do this.

            The more peopl explain or defend them or what they do, the more the Kpop fandom sounds like a cult and the fans crazy and obsessed. So sad.

            But they didn't make it. They hired someone to do it, paid for the advertising space and did it to promote GD's album. They didn't do it for art. They did it for GD. It's different.

      Not obsession.To me, this is "one of a kind" artistic appreciation.
      I love mural painting, so this makes me so happy to see GD in an art form that I always find and think quite inspirational.

      Really. Whats with all the negativity. Its their money...let them do what they want it. Maybe they felt like yg wasnt promothing him enough... Who knows. Everything doesnt have to become an argument. You support gd/ bigbang your way..they support him their way. Get over it.

    Woah!!! This is awesome!! Really. I thought this was by one of the brands that GD endorses when i saw this the other day, didn't know it's a project by VIPs! I think it's a pretty effective promotion, look at the people turning their heads to see the artwork!
