G-Dragon Begins Filming New MV Today, Aims for August Comeback (120809)

Big Bang’s G-Dragon has started filming a new music video for his upcoming new single, local media Star News reported in an exclusive report.

According to Star News, multiple sources have told them G-Dragon is currently filming his new music video in a studio just outside of Seoul. Starting from today, G-Dragon is expected to film several scenes not just for his new title track, but for other tracks as well, just like he did for his previous solo album.

The report added G-Dragon is shooting for a comeback on August 18, the same day as his 24th birthday.

This album would mark G-Dragon’s second solo album, following his debut solo album “Heartbreaker” in 2009. It was the highest-selling solo album in Korea back then.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment declined to comment on this matter, and no official word has come out regarding G-Dragon’s new album.

Note: It is being rumored by many that G-Dragon now has dreadlocks for the comeback from multiple fan sources. We are not yet sure if this is true, but will update if anymore news/info comes out. (via @Big_Seunghyun and @LueKim)

      So wait, hold up. WHAT'S WRONG WITH DREADS!!! People, people. come on nah. My daughter (yes I said daughter) had the same dreads when he and Youngbae were GDYB. She looked exactly like him. She doesn't have the dreads anymore now she sports braid and has only one dread as a little memory of what she had. It's down her back now. Hip Hop came from the African American community and culture where some do sport dreads. You can't take part of the and not everything that comes with it. What's important is he's working and can carry off the look without looking like he's mocking the Hip Hop culture that I grew up in. Embrace not erase, my peeps. We're all one. One Love!!!

        I did not mean to offend anybody in anyway. It's just a personal thing~ I'm NOT against Hip Hop or Reggae or anybody who sported dreadlocks! Its just that.. I don't like the hair!!! You see, my boyfriend of 7yrs has been wanting to get dreadlocks since day one, and I'm FIRMLY against it.
        And now I have GD, my ULTIMATE BIAS Jiyong, whose face is in my desktop wallpaper, screen lock, and even wallet! So IF he really got the dreadlock.. I know he will rock it somehow,..but me?

I love GD for his music and don't want him to look less perfect than he really is. Dreadlock won't look good on an Asian person. Like Youngbae's hair in 2006. It was so much American and doesn't suit him. GD is brave there is no one that can say GD to do something else. There is no box or something. Yes, I'll love whatever he does but in his music. Not style. Even if I don't like his hair, I will listen to him and won't care about his looks. But the fact is even if you're GD, it's impossible to wear every style flawless.         i'm one of the biggest reggae lover , as much i find them absolutely fabulous on regga&e singer when somebody else do them i find them awful. being a rasta is not just having dreadlocks , it's a lifestyle a fashion.. if he is doing breads like those yb had during bigbang debut but dreadlocks i don't feel them. the only korean singer who can pull them is skull but again he is a reggae singer also a rasta

    I have braids. Very freeing. They are ready to go anytime without the need to brush or comb. Just get and go . You can pull them back into a ponytail. Or updo. Whatever look you want. They are versatile and easy to maintain.

    I'm so happy and I'm grateful that waiting three long years for this precious moment to return to me to experience worth it.
    What is more important for me than him going back to his roots for this album,what is more important for me than hearing his life stories and his self written diary molded in the lyrics of his each song flowing with the melodies he hummed when he felt sad or happy..?what is more important than him coming back on the day he was born a special moment?
    Pink hair,blonde,dreadlocks,braids or wax..who the hell cares when the guy himself doesn't give importance to others' opinion regarding his looks or anything.
    I'm afraid frankly but i know that I'll be not disappointed...
    He learned from his mistakes and we stood supporting him through sick and sad..

    It's cool to have an opinion on his work, yet on his looks, that's off
    limits. Let's say he's married and his wife loves his look yet the fans
    don't care for it at all. Is he supposed to follow what the fans say and

    forgot about all the mess that comes with it. I agree about Lil Wayne.
