Record-breaking 3,500 fans queue for Big Bang's Alive Tour in Malaysia ticket launch

Record-breaking 3,500 fans queue for the BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 Malaysia ticket launch; tickets 95% sold out

28 Jul 2012 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) – Proving the massive popularity of BIGBANG, a record-breaking crowd of an estimated 3,500 started queuing for their first-ever concert in Malaysia – BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 – from as early as 22 hours before tickets launched for sale at 10.30am today at fahrenheit88. As of 6.00pm today, 95% of the total 12,000 tickets up for sale were sold out, with only Category 5-8 tickets currently available for sale (RM 288, RM 198, RM 188, RM 98).

A total of over 600 tickets in the highest tier category (RM 688 = US$ 218) sold out the quickest in a mere 30 minutes, while Category 2 (RM 588 = US$ 185), Category 3 (RM 488 = US$ 154) and Category 4 (RM 388 = US$ 123) sold out within an hour. A total of over 11,000 tickets were sold today, making this the largest number of tickets sold within a day for any K-Pop concert in Malaysia.

“We expected a huge turnout as we know the huge pull BIGBANG has in Malaysia, but it was the community spirit of all the fans that touched us, as they helped each other out in the queue and on Twitter and Facebook. It was also very beautiful to see fans of all ages, races and demographics come together; proving that music is truly a universal language. We are certain that the show will not disappoint and will promise fans a great concert on 27 October”, said Wendy Ng, Executive Producer of Running Into The Sun, the organizer of the concert.

BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 Malaysia is set to be the concert of the year with a massive RM 4 million (US$ 1.2 million) production show, in a one-night only concert at Stadium Merdeka on 27 Oct 2012. BIGBANG, consisting of five K-pop heroes G-Dragon, Taeyang, TOP, Seungri and Daesung, will perform the Malaysia leg of the BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 in their very first concert in Malaysia. BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 Malaysia will be the first outdoor concert across Asia.

BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 Malaysia is sponsored by Samsung Galaxy, presented by YG Entertainment and Livenation, and organized by Running Into The Sun with official partner PMP.

When the ticket started selling yesterday and I was in the shower I cried and keep on thinking I can't meet them T.T :c But I am planning to stalk them >:D Lol no x.x I won't do that to our bebehs they deserve a break . About a week after KMW last year I drove past Double Tree and I just wanted to go in and ask the receptionist which room did they stayed in so I could go there and smell the room or something T.T Hmm but everything happens for a reason right so I guess I can't go to the concert because if I see them live I will die or literally speaking I will faint or get a heart attack or something .             I stay in Selangor. me and my cousin, we're really dying to go. but we had a really hard time to decide. we even made a family meeting (sort of) just to decide whether we shud go or not. it took us a week! haha. so yeah, we're not going. Agama comes first, isn't it? so,,,, that's why.=))

    Ahhh, I hope they announce another date for them. Would be heartbreaking if some weren't able to get tickets. Who knows when and if they'll do another tour like this one ( sure they will though!)     the first one to queue is her name is SKY! she start queue at 12.00pm on 27/712 :) and by the way cat 1 sold out after 30minut, cat 4 sold out after 1 hour, cat 2 sold out after 2hour, cat 3 sold out after 4/5hour..... i was there & not sleep more than 24hour, we had such a totally blast night & i think about 500VIP stay overnight! & im maybe around 100th person coz im arrive at 10pm although my friend is 3rd person but i must respect other VIP & queue officially^^ & manage to grab the priority entry to rockzone B of CAT 2!

    Wow 3500? Didn't know there were that many in the queue with us. :O
    But i gotta say there was definitely an interesting mix of fans. Fanboys, middle aged fans, parents buying for their kids, and I even saw one whole family queuing together. Such great fans our boys have. ;D

    I was there as well. Massive Q in immense heat etc. Went there around 9am and waited for 4hrs only to get cat3 tix. I wanted cat2 tix so badly. I should have queued last night. I underestimated the power of My VIP. We're totally awesome. Hope it's worth it. :) anyone want to trade cat2 tix with cat3 lemme know. :)

    Finally got my ticket after 6 long hour of Q in the month of Ramadan...insane..
    Totally underestimate MYVIP....
    With huge number of VIP showing up yesterday I was surprise that alot (by alot I mean ALOTs) of people still comment that they cant join the concert for various reasons.
    If all of them can actually attend it imagine how much MYVIP could have show up yesterday....TOTALLY PROUD TO BE A VIP...MYVIP finghting!!!!!!!

    and now hear my sad story...i hv cll ticketcharge to ask abt thr outlet on friday, if rlly sell the tix, the nearest outlet is 2 hour frm my place, speedy tebrau city,i decide to make my brother in law to buy me the tix,using creditcard as my bithdy presnt on 2 aug (yes, i have same zodiac as GD, Leo and i know we Leo love high end products,keke) he was so cool bcs he wanted to buy the ticket for me even he doesnt know who bigbang was,he also call them 'what again, BINGBANG?I even didnt angry to him,keke.then when its 12 pm, he cannot book through phone, and also through online through all day until this very now..i dont know what to do..we just sit in front of our lappy, with air conditioner, (we fasting though),but still didnt manage to get the tix..so the moral of my story is 'no pain, no gain'.

    Today was just crazy. I wasn't KL but i was buying it at the Speedy outlet. Management was bad and when it reached the 3rd person, the server was down. All of the sudden, that speedy changed location for the ticketing to a different mall. It was just nuts. Lined up for 3 hours and i was the 9th person. Imagine that.

    MY-VIPs, boys & girls, regardless ages, religions and races were together helping each other getting the tickets. so like Malaysia spirit. as Malaysian myself, i'm very proud of their unity, and love for BB as well. if 3,500 ppl were queued from F88, i believe that the queue would reach out to Star Hills lol. the queue is awesome. so,can we have 2 days concert, pleaseeeee~

    Happy that i got my tickets. But kinda disappointed that it wasn't the initial category of tickets that i wanted. only sad thing was many ppl bought huge amount of tickets as each person can buy up to max 10 tix and they are selling it off at a higher price. to those ppl selling black market tickets, WAIT TILL KARMA STRIKES BACK.

    i cry at the counter when i know the tix for CAT 2 has been sold..although at that is just 12.30 pm...T-T..but i still manage to get the tix for CAT 7..huhuhuu....but still i really2 surprise with mvips....love u guys always..im still going for the concert even though it is the 2nd day of aidiladha...mybe ill bring rendang ayam to share wif u guys...LOL!!!

    Oh I got the tix. I was out from my house at 6 am literally went there by bus and monorail and get there with at 8 am.. Looking at the line I almost had no hope because the line is insane..but one of my friend who overnight there really gave me light of hope when I see her. I almost fainted when I saw the line. Scary as it may seems next time BB does come to Malaysia again I'm so taking the overnight plan seriously. I salute to SKY for pulling this all nighters.. its scary but for me its worth the wait and money. I was saving every ringgit and sen from my pocket money to school just to see them live in Malaysia. BIGBANG should admire the love for M-VIPs here is amazing!
    P/S the tix that i bought is more xpensive than my phone..haha

    Congratulations to MYVIPs that managed to get the tickets! And to those that can't make it, don't be despair! They're gonna be around for a long time and there's always a chance in the future! As for me, I couldn't make it for the Malaysia's concert because it happened to be on the same day as a family member's wedding . I was so upset when the concert date came out for m'sia. But I know I wouldn't miss the world for their concert, so....I'm going to singapore! It was hell for me to get the ticket as well because the traffic on the website was crazy..but when I got what I wanted, I was jumping and crying tears of joy. So...I'll be partying with BB in 2months at the rockpit!! To those who r going to Singapore..c u thr!! Still hoping there will be a second show here in kl so I could go again!!
