Big Bang’s new Japanese single Feeling has been selected to be the opening theme song for the animation Transformers.
The group’s new album Alive will be released in Japan on March 28, and the album will contain two new tracks, Feeling and Ego, in addition to the seven tracks on the original Korean album. The track Feeling will be the opening theme song for the animated version of the Transformers film.
Feeling is an up-tempo track produced by G-Dragon and German DJ and producer Boys Noize.
Transformers: Prime, the animated series based on Steven Spielberg’s hit movie Transformers, is broadcast as a full 3D CG series in 140 countries and will be broadcast on various channels in Japan, including TV Tokyo.
In addition to Japanese tracks Feeling and Ego, Big Bang’s new album contains a total of 10 songs, including the Japanese versions of Fantastic Baby, Blue and Bad Boy, which were penned by Verbal of Japanese hip hop duo M-Flo, as well as bonus track Haru Haru.
Big Bang will kick off its five-city tour of Japan Big Bang Alive Tour in Japan 2012 as part of its larger world tour in May, making stops in Nagoya, Yokohama, Osaka, Saitama and Fukuoka. But for fans who can’t wait until then, the group will be in Japan for the 2012 Springroove Festival, which will be held at the Kobe World Memorial Hall in Osaka on March 31 and the Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba on April 1.
The group has been making waves inland and in foreign music markets, most recently making the main page of the Grammy Awards website. Big Bang’s Blue has also held on to the top spot on the Billboard K-Pop chart for two weeks in a row.
