Yang Hyun Suk promises, “This year, I will do my very best for Big Bang” [NEWS]

A representative of YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk stated that he will have the upmost enthusiasm and pour his heart out for Big Bang’s comeback in February of 2012.

In OSEN’s recent phone conversation with Yang’s representative, it was stated, “This year’s first priority is Big Bang…I want to do everything I can for Big Bang. Even though there are preparations for new groups, we have almost been fully occupied with Big Bang’s music, so the plans [for the new groups] have been running late.” The debut of YG’s new groups, which were originally planned for the spring of this year, have a high probability of being pushed back to the second half of the year.

Big Bang had a difficult year in 2011. In February, the mini-album that they released for the first time in 2 years achieved an all-kill on the charts as they were off to a refreshing start, and they even stood in the limelight in overseas performances in Japan.

However, promotions were halted for Daesung after his involvement in a sudden car accident in May, and G-Dragon, who was on the brink of beginning his solo promotions, was swept in a marijuana smoking controversy in October. Although the issue was cleared after the Seoul District Public Prosecutor’s Office declared that G-Dragon’s suspension of indictment was cleared, in reality, Big Bang as a whole announced a period of “self-reflection” and became engrossed with working on their new album.

About this, Yang’s representative stated, “The past year was the hardest year for YG, and you could say that it was a time of crises,” adding, “Just as injuries leave scars and mistakes leave lessons learned, not just I, but all the members of Big Bang, have become much more aware and have reflected a lot after going through these events. I think that this time spent will be something that Big Bang will have with them as they move forward, that will act like a good medicine.”

YG’s figurehead Big Bang has already given notice of their February comeback today. Prior to this, it was often commonplace for Big Bang’s comeback to be later than originally planned, but YG boastfully assured that this time, “there is absolutely no way that will happen.”

Yang’s representative stated, “During the time of self-reflection, the members of Big Bang even worked on Sundays to the point where they practically lived in the studio, and they were completely absorbed in their music. The Big Bang members were so busy that even I didn’t get to see their faces very much, but when I did spend time with them together, I felt happy." It was added, “As we were having our time of self-reflection, I learned the lesson that during [Big Bang’s] new album preparations, we shouldn’t have other scheduled plans.”

Yang has great expectations for Big Bang’s new album. It was confidently stated, “The five members immersed themselves in their music with one heart during these past months, so there are many products and as one, they are great. This year, Big Bang will release more songs than ever and do many promotions."

    Just reading the title makes me cry TT.TT

    Seriously.. Papa YG loves Big Bang so much. Not just because Big Bang makes a lot of money for the company but also because he had LITERALLY watched Big Bang boys as they grow esp. JiYong & YoungBae. I'm just so glad that Papa YG don't hold a grudge or something like that towards them because of the embarassment they have: YGEntertainment particularly to Big Bang. He himself has learned a lot of lessons from Big Bang and vise versa.

    I like the way they described Big Bang as the FIGURE HEAD of YGE. =))

    THIS is why I love YG Family so much. I'm not bashing but I tried to watch other Entertainment companies' boy&girl groups, and I can say they are all amazing but there's just something missing in them that I found with YG Family.

    Thank you YG. It's about time you give some focus on the guys again. I understand that 2NE1 was your new and exciting thing but you severely neglected the guys and it showed. Not only did it show, personally as a VIP, it hurt. I'm glad our men are going to come back as 5 cause that is the only way that I ever want to see Big Bang.

Maybe it's because Papa YG thinks that our Big Bang boys can carry it on their own with all their experience and individual talents and believes in them and 2NE1 being the rookies, they have to accompany them more than Big Bang.     im so happy that BIGBANG belongs to YG..i mean look at the support he gave to our boys..if its other company maybe they are busy making another popular boys that can be replace in BB's spot but then YG prefer to halt other activities and focus more in bigbang .Before i really wonder why YG  cant  just debut new groups so that he can be competitive with other company in terms of numbers ..now i understand..its not all about money but its about passion and fulfillment that each group he created will be successful solely with their music and talent.. :)

    I knew this upcoming album would be as great as their undeniable talent but it seems to be beyond expectations.
    How the album was produced (NOT THE ACCIDENTS but THE PASSION PUT IN IT) will certainly be one of the reason that will make this album a masterpiece.

    They really work hard on it, I didn't know someone could be one day that proud of doing something. Please boys : do know that u can feel proud !

    YG, thank you for putting aside the conflicts that happened to Big Bang and putting them as your first priority for 2012. The love and respect within the YG Family with Big Bang is stronger than ever, because you still stuck with them through the difficult times they had, and trust in their work to make it first.

    Oh, YG. This kind of thing is why I love YGe so much. Not because he's putting BB first, but because he cares for his artists and will support them no matter the difficulties. I'm trying not to get hysterical over here because I'm so excited, and reading this just makes me more hyped then ever. I honestly don't think BIGBANG can dissapoint me with this album.

YG family is THE BEST.  He takes really good care of his people, and honestly wants them to pursue things on their own.  Seungri stated this one time on Night after Night show... Everybody kept asking him how YG family is really like, and he kep saying from the outside people think we're cold and high minded but within we're like a REAL FAMILY.

    i can't describe how happy i am right now. papa YG is the CEO and their boss, but it's not what i felt, it's just like a hyung & dongsaeng relationship. he will GIVE HIS VERY BEST FOR BIG BANG and yes he LOVES THEM SO MUCH. he always stay beside them. even though, some say that BIG BANG was neglected before, but i think they're not. YG needs to help his rookies to know their own and right paths just like he did for BIG BANG when they debuted.

    yeah. it was a ritual to always watch the end of year award shows for me. I thought even if big bang didn't perform they would at least be awarded some really prestigious awards. 

    it really hurt when suju were sweeping the awards. I totally gave up watching the award shows and went out to have some of my own fun. Even my friends were shocked that I wanted to get out of the house.

    I hope this year and the future will be a blast for our BIG BANG oppas and also the rest of YG as well !

    im such an avid fan of end of year shows, but this year I just watched 2ne1's performance and that was pretty much it. heck my mom watched more than I did. I actually went to the 2011 SBS Gayo Daejun by myself. That was sheer hell except for the YG Family awesomeness towards the end. Here's to hoping for a real season of gayo daejuns at the end of 2012 with our boys, the year of the dragon!!! JYEAH!!!

    Yes it sucks when they were'nt performing in all the gayo daejuns despite the greatest comeback of the 2011. When it comes to the daesang awards, BigBang has always been left out even from the nomination ( i have to say, sometimes it seems that their own nation is neglecting them - politically perhaps?) also when the awards involves voting for sure ELFs is crazy all over, hands down.

    You understand who really loves and cares about you or who is your real friend when you are going through hardship.It's true that last year was the most difficult one for BigBang but I believe the difficulties that our boys had to endure has established a real friendship and brotherhood bond for each other,which will keep them so strong as a group. Just take a look at their recent photos: matured, self confident and intimate with genuine smiles (pointing out we are ready to take the world once again!)

    And Papa YG; yes he is a businessman, yes he has financial concerns but no one can deny that he loves and supports BigBang like us,VIPs. I'm glad that BigBang is with YG which truly cares for its artists.To me, they are not only a music group, they are more than that I can associate with good and bad times of my life in the last two years.So, BigBang and its music is and will always be the priority for me. I'll support and keep on listening to them as long as they continue being in the music scene.

I hope after this year's BIGBANG comeback, they will stand up once again and produce great music like they always did.     YG did well. He never neglects BIGBANG and other seniors. It's just he wants them and believe in them to grow by themselves since their roots are strong enough to be independent. Its a good move. Due all respects of coz he still put an eye open for them, helping them, be with them in the process..while taking care of other younger family members like 2NE1..its like a father who will never off sight to their sons eventhough they're at the time to make their own decision.

    Anyhow, he needs to safe them if they fall into some troubles and accidents since they are still not coping well with life..they are young, trying to cope with experiences.. That's what YG did for the case of BIGBANG. and now..he comes to safe BIGBANG so that they could stand on their respectful place once again.

    A new beginning it is. From zero to hero..standing at the top. but we will never forever be at the top..sometimes we will fall down..due to some unexpected events that could not be overpowered by us..however it is not the end of everything..we could still make to the top..again..as long as we are not giving up..and support each other...

    and this time..it will be BIG. since BIGBANG is once at the top of the world..matter of facts..they've NEVER fallen down even once so to speak..they are always at the top..they just slipped a bit to the side..and BIGBANG are about to build a STRONGER stand at the top this time. prepare for it people.

    I always think that Bigbang are not idols...they are great " artists and musicians" in one unit..they don't perform like korean idols do..they are just always in a different level from the rest of the idol groups...i feel sometimes that it is not right to compare them with other groups...they are beyond the term "idol group"...With these article,it just proves my belief...I am truly so proud of them..and of YG family ofcourse..BIGBANG Hwaiting!!!!You can do it guys!!!we are always here!!!

    Oh by the way,,,please don't bash their sisters 2ne1,,they totally have nothing to do with your feeling that Bigbang was neglected...I never thought that Bigbang was ever neglected due to 2ne1...Bigbang soared at the end of 2011,,despite of the issues...they might have been unactive for quite some time..but there were 2 consecutive cases that were filed against 2 of our boys(2ne1 have nothing to do with this),those were the only things that halted their continous success...But blaiming it to their label mates 2ne1(because obviously,,they continously did great last year) is simply not right...
