    fluent in multiple languages? GAh ... i wish the writer did not write that cos haters are going to have a field day. it irks me sometimes when people exaggerate when writing about my BB (and 2NE1) ... on something that is never being said or claimed by BB (and 2NE1) themselves.

    I know what you mean. It's more like they "dabble" in other languages, cause, lets face it, Korean, English & Japanese count as "multiple" languages. LOL.

    okay he knows a little bit english and a bit Japanese but not fluent ! but i think if they want to be world wide they all should be fluent or at least speak enough english . and im really shocked how their english is not that good. except taeyang he knows enough i think.

    Yeah, watching Seoul Sunday made me realize how even if fans went them to go international, they just can't yet. Some accent in the songs is acceptable but I guess they really need to learn more. Hope the make more effort on it =)

    Maybe the writer saw GD's earlier profiles where it's usually mentioned that he knows Chinese. Can't even say that he's fluent in English and also can't rap even in Japanese =)

    I read the full article and surprisingly, Pitchfork didn't murder K-p0op. It's weird/cool reading how an "outsider" who isn't part of this fandom sees Korean pop.

    I think for TOP,  GD and Taeyang it's more about how confident they are speaking it when they haven't practiced it and so on...

    I laughed at that too, but I think GD actually understands english really well, reading and listening to it - every time Seungri has a major fail e.g. Princess, he's the first to react although I do believe he relies on nodding to get through conversations. But speaking English is pretty hard and most asians struggle with pronuciation (I can not spell that word I don't think) especially the 'th; sound 'tr' is easier. The boys need to work on their languages if they do have ambitions to go international and I think they can do anything they put their minds to =3

    In my personal opinion, it doesn't matter if they aren't fluent in English or Jap or whatever language they may "dabble" in. The whole point is that GD&TOP are considered one of the best contributors to the Hallyu wave, whether it be delivering lines in Korean, shooting hooks in Japanese, or flawlessly twisting words in "Engleesh".

    Yes, like me when I'm trying to practice Spanish. Putting yourself out there can be daunting, let alone if I were to be on National TV! Not an excuse, just reality.
    It's necessary that they practice more, though. It's helpful to their careers. With languages, you just have to speak them. Osmosis won't work. Unfortunately (because that is what I'd opt for).
